Foundation in Science

Overview

The Foundation in Science program is a full time education program for all students at the Sime Darby Nursing and Health Sciences College, building their capacity for undergraduate university study and preparing them for entry into tertiary institutions to pursue quality programs such as Medicine, Dentistry and Sciences. All students will undertake Core and MQA subjects, minor courses as well as academic research. Subjects such as Information Technology, Writing and Communicative Skills are added to give the students an edge over others.

The College provides a conducive learning environment as well as to equip students with excellent facilities. The students are also provided with skills and knowledge relevant to the needs of the modern world. In addition to that, the students are equipped with the intellectual tools and discipline for academic excellence, while at the same time inculcating in them leadership qualities and character development.

Extra-curricular activities as well as good pastoral care are emphasized to ensure that students obtain a holistic education. Students who successfully fulfill all course requirements and pass all subjects are awarded a Certificate of Foundation in Science.

Our Foundation in Science enables students to pursue a degree in Health Science Programmes such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and other Science related courses in reputable institutions of higher education in Malaysia.
